This Saturday offers a chance to see Middle Child play, One Life Stand, as part of a Musical Rewrites double bill with A Super Happy Story (About Being Super Sad) at the Lowry. Written by Eve Nicol with music by James Frewer and Honeyblood, One Life Stand is a late-night search for real-life intimacy across a city obsessed with sex and screens, exposing the loneliness of modern relationships despite excitement being just a swipe away. When Kat wonders if her long-term lover is really her lifelong dream, she soon finds out that short term equals short changed. Click here to find out more about both productions in the Lowry’s Musical Rewrites season – and win tickets for you and a friend.
