Victoria Baths gets crafty this weekend as it plays host to an arts and crafts fair, following the success of its first fair back in November. With stalls spreading over two floors, the event will feature a large collection of items from local artists and craftspeople, while the Baths’ own gift shop and café will also be open, offering books and more handmade crafts to inspire your creative side further and homemade cakes to accompany your browsing. Guided tours of the baths, set within the Grade II listed building, will be available throughout the afternoon, reviewing the grand architecture as well as a brief history lesson of the Baths. There’s also a unique opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the lesser known parts of the building, featuring the boiler house and filter room, as well as a peak at the spaces used for the filming of Life on Mars and Mrs Biggs. Tour passes are £3 and will be available to buy on the day.
