Now that the world and his wife has a blog, how do you make sure that yours stands out – and, crucially, that people are reading it? Help is at hand at the second Blog North meet, which takes place this Saturday at Tate Liverpool – surroundings that would inspire anyone to get typing! The event is the brainchild of alternative Manchester guide Creative Tourist and Leeds’ Culture Vulture, and they’ve also invited along locals from Liverpool’s online magazine The Double Negative to share the secrets of their success. Designed by bloggers for bloggers, workshops will cover all the essentials for making the most of your site, from online trends and tools to utilising social media. Most importantly, there’s also the chance to network with fellow bloggers, both established and new to the game, from across the north. If that wasn’t enough incentive, the admission price includes a ticket to Tate Liverpool’s current show, Turner Monet Twombly: Later Paintings, worth £12.
