About Group ft Hot Chip + Spiritualized members at Band on the Wall

In 2009, Hot Chip co-frontman Alexis Taylor and Spritualized’s John Coxon got together to produce an record of improvised music under the name About. Now boasting a ‘Group’, they’ve returned with Between the Walls, their latest release on Domino – and a show at Band on the Wall on 25 February to showcase their musical wares. Featuring drums, Wurlitzer, organ, piano, electric guitar and electronic textures, the album has a ‘live-in-the-studio’ sound. But live, too, About Group are an unusual prospect – even more powerful and fascinating than their recorded output. Join them for this musical adventure covering ‘free noise to Bacharach covers’, all held together by Alexis Taylor’s unmistakeable voice.
