Band on the Wall welcome Japanese psychedelic rock band, Acid Mothers Temple, for a special show this October. Formed by Kawabata Makoto in 1995, Acid Mothers Temple are an expansive group of musicians, dancers and artists centred around acid-folk, improvisational music. The most recent manifestation of this boundary-crushing group includes founding members Makoto and Higashi Hiroshi, joined on this tour by new vocalist, Jyonson Tsu, and backed by a propulsive rhythm section of Satoshima Nani and Wolf. From Disco-rock grooves to atonal frenzies, this is a chance to see a legendary group at the apex of their powers. This year’s ‘Hallelujah Mystic Garden Part Two’, a valuable addition to their canon, is available now via Important Records.
