This is FutureEverything festival’s week of events in Manchester  – and one of the most exciting things happening is the world premiere of Too Much Information, an interactive storytelling experience. This unique 45-minute walking tour, setting off from the Royal Exchange, sees audience members using smartphones to find audio recordings hidden around the city. The recordings feature funny and frank conversations between a group of young people and a group of over 60s. From these, we learn about the expectations people have at different points in their lives. The walk is set to specially-composed music by Martyn Ware, a founder member of The Human League and Heaven 17. Too Much Information is presented by the Royal Exchange, in association with Blast Theory, an artists’ group that uses digital media for new forms of storytelling. For more on FutureEverything, read our TOP 3 guide and enter our competition to win two tickets to events this Friday and Saturday.
