Monday 21 June is International Yoga Day and also the Summer Solstice – and what better way to celebrate than by enjoying a day of free yoga sessions courtesy of the expert yogis at The Life Centre North.

Due to take place in the outdoor Ampitheatre at The Great Northern in Deansgate, this day of mindfulness, relaxation and calming vibes starts at 7.30am with Sun Salutations as the light hits the city, followed by some midday Function Flow at 12.30pm and ending with a Vinyasa yoga session at 5.30pm, sending you back off into the world with a refreshed body and a clearer state of mind. Each session will be free to attend, with all donations going towards local mental health charity, Manchester Mind.

An annual event, 2020’s International Yoga Day celebrations at The Great Northern were sadly cancelled in the wake of the pandemic reaching its peak. This return to yoga mats is not only a great opportunity for some group exercise in a social, outdoor setting – it also provides a much-needed hit of normality after an incredibly difficult and testing year.

Available for all age ranges and experience levels, you can book your free slot at one of The Life Centre North’s three sessions on Monday 21 June by visiting the Eventbrite page below.
