It’s not often that a saxophonist gets mainstream hype on the approach to a live show at the likes of Manchester’s beloved Gorilla, but the nuance of Colin Stetson and his artistry is making ripples. At first glance Stetson doesn’t seem like the Gorilla type, but look a bit further and you’ll see a repertoire that more infamous musicians could only dream of. His unique way of bending sound and creating emotion has plunged Stetson into silver screen fame, boasting the title of composer on the complete soundtrack for 2018 horror Hereditary, as well as contributions to popular Western video game Red Dead Redemption 2, making his revolutionary sound familiar to many. Stetson’s successful pursuits continue with collaborations with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Lou Reed and Arcade Fire, to name just a few. Intrigued? Get yourself down to Gorilla on Sun 29 Sep to witness something truly unique. What’s more, we’ve got 2 pairs of tickets to give away to see Colin live in concert – want to be in with a chance of winning? Fill out the form below. The competition closes at midday on Mon 28 Oct and winners will be notified shortly afterwards.
