Book now: Discolypso returns to Band On The Wall

Club night Discolypso returns to Band On The Wall following the success of their debut knees-up in July. Filling a niche the city is crying out for by spinning classic Latin, Afrobeat and tropical sounds, DJs Simon Ham and Will T are backed up on live percussion and visuals by Cuban maestro Gavin Wilks (of funk crew The Plimp Souls). The tropical sounds scene has grown in popularity in recent years with key vinyl and digital releases from labels who unearth and reissue rare sounds that would otherwise lay dormant – check the back catalogues of labels like Ostinato Records, Analog Africa, Soundway, Sofrito and Mr Bongo if you fancy building up your own collection.  Listen to Will and Simon’s Discolypso mix below to get a feel for the night.
