Following the release of Mercury-nominated album Man Alive in 2010, the Manchester four-piece have finally finished that difficult second album. The electro-indie-popstars unveiled new track Cough Cough which hit 37 in the chart this week, from forthcoming long player Arc (out Jan 2013) and this date offers the chance to sample more new material, and revel in the brilliance of early singles like MY KZ UR BF and Photoshop Handsome. Cough Cough follows their lead into oddball pop terrain, sitting somewhere and nowhere in the musical landscape. Combining awkward drum rhythms with lead singer Jonathan’s soaring vocals, it’s another indulgence in the extraordinary.
