A carefully curated line up launches the first RNB (RebeccaNeverBecky) Productions event in Manchester, celebrating and showcasing LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or questioning, intersex and asexual and/or allies), QTIPOC (queer, transgender and intersex people of colour) and women of colour creatives in commemoration of the culture of the 20th century’s final decade. Selecting on the night are Sofie K (NTS Radio, Limbo Radio), Claud Cunningham (HOME Mcr and Black Angel, where she became known especially for introducing RnB, soul and even Bhangra to the soundsystems of the city’s gav village), Kim Lana Black (L.O.V.E. Party), Sayang (Equaliser, KMAH Radio) and Mixcloud Online Radio Awards winner Katbrownsugar (MCR Live, Unity Radio). There’ll also be original performances from artists including Acediia, Monopoly Phonic and  Ruby Ramelize with Elliss Turner of Moist Collective. Hosts for the evening are Sebastian Saint Charles and Sophie Satanique, and a nineties vibe dress code is encouraged. The party takes place at community space Partisan, and the event will be documented by filmaker Sophie Broadgate for the Manchester Archives.  Expect nineties hip hop, house, R’nB and garage all night long.
