Watch out for the west coast sunshine on Swan Street when Ned Doheny makes a rare appearance at Band on the Wall. Doheny became keystone of the 1970’s California soft rock scene thanks to his cult album ‘Hard Candy’, and his influence lives on: Pitchfork describes him as “blessed with a voice like a lens flare”. He comes to Manchester with a full live band and songwriting collaborator Hamish Stuart from Average White Band. Although Stuart co-wrote the Doheny classic ‘A Love of Your Own’, the pair have never shared a stage before. Also performing are Dream Lovers and Tremors. Early bird tickets are sold out, but advance tickets for this rarest of gigs are available now.
