Band On The Wall continue with a vintage year of programming, bringing UK soul legend Omar to the Northern Quarter as part of a tour in advance of his SEVENTH album. Younger heads should be familiar with Dancing, his glorious link up with that other great veteran Zed Bias, but the rest of you should be grabbing tickets now in anticipation of witnessing a man who has been innovating, seducing and progressing UK sounds for over 20 years – and whose education included a stint at Manchester’s Chetham’s school of music. That voice on the finest soundsystem in town? Unmissable.
