Siobhan Wilson’s early years were spent studying classical piano and cello, culminating in a move to Paris which saw her immersed in French musical tradition, all the while developing her songwriting skills. Such was her charm that when a French label discovered her songs on MySpace, a crowdfunding campaign provided the means for her to record and release her debut album, Songs. Her classical discipline features heavily in her productions; with minimal arrangements revealing vulnerabilities that are further evolved through her intimate and ethereal vocals that sing beautiful – and sometimes haunting – songs of art, heartache and faith. Released lovingly by Song, By Toad, her latest LP There Are No Saints is a dark fairy tale that will make for a spellbinding performance at the intimate venue The Eagle Inn.
