The Pilcrow is a pub project and labour of love that’s set to open in North Manchester next month. Built entirely by hand using traditional craft techniques in the NOMA neighbourhood with the help of local volunteers, there have been a number of workshops designed to share skills connecting the community to the space. These have included wholesome activities such as basket weaving and beer pump handle making, and the team who are going to run the pub when it opens in September have just been announced. Those in charge will be owner of Common and Port Street Beer House Jonathan Heyes, and co-founder of Cloudwater Brew Co. and former Port Street man, Paul Jones who have set up a new organisation All Our Yesterdays to manage the new venture. A seasonal collection of Cloudwater beers are guaranteed alongside excellent pizza and much more. Watch this space for more details.
