Tex-Mex indie rockers Calexico come to Manchester’s Ritz this Saturday in support of latest album, Algiers. Based in Tuscan, Arizona and often described as ‘desert noir’, Calexico draw upon influences such as traditional Latin, mariachi and country music as well as jazz and post rock. The resulting sound is richly diverse yet encapsulated perfectly within the distinctive styles of founding members Joey Burns and John Convertino. Expect musicianship and well seasoned songwriting that will delight music lovers across the board.
