Cat Power is coming to Manchester’s Albert Hall in November as part of a year-long anniversary tour for her milestone album The Greatest.
Released in 2006, it’s seen as one of the defining records of Cat Power’s career thanks to haunting and soulful tracks including the title song, Living Proof, Could We and Lived in Bars. It was listed as #26 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of the 2000s and was nominated for a Brit Award for Best International Female Solo Artist.
The singer, also known as Chan Marshall, marked the album’s anniversary by releasing a three-track EP, Redux. Featuring recordings connected to the original album and its era, it includes a new version of James Brown’s Try Me, a reimagining of Could We and a rendition of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U.
Hear the album in its entirety at Albert Hall on Wednesday 4 November 2026. Tickets from £40.
