Manchester Remembers, the charity football match set up in the wake of the Manchester Arena attacks, will return for its third year with a special game set to take place at Oldham Athletic FC.

Taking place on Sun 28 Jul, the match will feature a team of Celebrities V Legends. Marking the seventh anniversary of the attack, the game will raise money for six different charities founded in the aftermath of the bombing as well as supporting ‘A Friend of the Foundation’, with further details to be announced in due course.

A host of famous faces and sports stars are set to return such as Jason Manford, Wes Brown and Ricky Hatton. New stars include Noah Olaoye and Harry Cain with more being announced over the coming weeks.

Since launching in 2022 the campaign has raised £117,676 for five special charities set up to create a legacy for those who lost their lives. These include The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, Liv’s Trust, The Megan Hurley Foundation, Eilidh’s Trust and The Remembering Nell Foundation, all of which support young people across the Greater Manchester region.

The event has been organised by former police officer Aaron Lee and local business owner Paul Corrigan. Aaron was one of the first responders on the scene at the Manchester Arena almost seven years ago and has built a strong relationship with the victims’ families.

Aaron Lee said: “We are delighted to see the continued support for Manchester Remembers. It means so much to everyone affected by the Manchester Arena attack in 2017, and provides a fitting annual tribute to ensure those people are never forgotten. We’re truly grateful for all of the support and to those who have helped us raise an incredible amount of money for charity. We are looking forward to this Summer and continuing to grow the fundraising target.”

General admission tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for U16’s. Hospitality packages start from £65 for adults and £45 for U16’s. Hospitality boxes also start from £1,350 for 10 people. Tickets can be purchased using the button below.
