As a poet once so eloquently put it: ‘I don’t want lobster thermidor, or your rapberry coulis – I’m a working man from Lancashire, and I wants a chippy tea.’ With this in mind – although probably not – Chorlton’s The Beagle presents a tarted-up, three-course chippy tea – featuring chippy tapas for starters, a main fishy event (veggie alternative available), followed by tea and biscuits for afters. It’s a mix of fine dining and working class institution down th’pub.
