Chorlton Irish Club will turn into a bustling Christmas bazaar this weekend, where Manchester’s best independent retailers, DJs, artists and eateries will rub shoulders and share a glass of sherry. The festive fete will be abustle with market stalls selling everything from hand-made printed garments by screen printers one69a and jewellery and cards by illustrator and fashion designer Lisa Stannard (pictured) to rails of vintage clothes and accessories by Nostalgia Vintage & Retro. You can quaff a mulled wine or Christmassy cocktail while listening to DJs including Nick Sinna (Prime Numers) and Woody from Friends & Family. And if that wasn’t enough to indulge the appetites then feast yours eyes, and belly, on food and drink stalls: Chorlton delicatessen Hickson and Black’s will be putting on a spread of delicious cheeses and Christmas hampers alongside Tibetan Kitchen who’ll be cooking up some hearty stews. The Chaat Cart will also be serving tasty south Indian vegetarian street foods, with Fire & Salt BBQ and Danielle’s Cakes will also be on hand. If the mayhem of city centre christmas shopping has proven too much to bear, Chorlton Bazaar may be the perfect place to snap up a gift in a cosy and festive environment.
