A new one for the Manchester club calendar, Beng! Beng! Beng! launches at The Deaf Institute on 15 June. Resident DJs play globally minded bass music, tropical rhythms, electronic psychadelia and disco boogie… for a start. Their initial nights sees Bristol bass pioneer Addison Groove headline, an important piece in the UK bass puzzle (along with the likes of Om Unit) through his championing of the Chicago footwork sound over here in the UK. Tonight, he’ll be selecting an Afrocentric bass set.
