Thu 18 Jun – Werkha @ The Deaf Institute
So Flute’s very own Werkha celebrates the launch of his debut album ‘Colours Of A Red Brick Raft’ on Tru Thoughts Records with a live performance, complete with band. The young beatsmith will be joined by another rising Manchester-based star – Frameworks. So Flute residents Danuka, Yadava and Baloo round out the lineup.

Fri 19 Jun – DJ Qu @ ??? (pictured on a previous date at Meandyou)
Selective Hearing and Love Dose join forces to bring New Jersey’s DJ Qu to a secret warehouse location in Manchester. This’ll be one for the true four-to-the-floor lovers, with Juju & Jordash, of Dekmantel fame joining the festivities, which begin at 6pm and roll right through until 6am. Residents from both crews will be providing the vibes throughout the evening/nighttime.

Fri 19 Jun – Med School @ Antwerp Mansion
Med School operates as a spinoff from legendary imprint Hospital Records, designed for new talent and risk taking in the realm of d&b. Hit&Run bring two of the label’s favourites, in the shape of Keeno and Whiney, to give the ravers their fix. There are still early birds to be grabbed at just £2.50 a pop, but move quickly if this one takes your fancy.

Sat 20 Jun – Swing Ting @ Soup Kitchen
We’ve brought back a couple of our favourite DJs for the first instalment of our summer parties. HDD are ace; super tight in the mix, bringing all the best bits from all over the world in their self-styled World Carnival manner. This one’s going to be a party from early and I can’t imagine there’ll be a more fun place to be this Saturday than down in Soup’s cellar. Plus it’s only £3 before 12, and just £5 after – it’s a bargain.
