Thu 23 Jan | Dwele | Band On The Wall
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of his classic debut LP, Subject, Dwele is flying over with his band to perform the album in full. Neo-soul royalty, Dwele has collaborated with the likes of Common, Kanye and J Dilla, and fans will be hoping that he touches on some of these during the second part of the show, where the band will be performing some of Dwele’s favourites from over the years.

Fri 24 Jan | Tom Boogizm (pictured)| Soup Kitchen
Following on from last year, where Night Slug’s Jam City played all night in their basement, Soup Kitchen continue the concept with night-long features from Kowton and Pearson Sound in the next couple of months. This Friday sees one of Manchester’s most respected DJs, Tom Boogizm take over, the freedom of the extended hours allowing him to fully explore his record collection. At just £2 on the door, you’ll struggle to find better value for money all weekend.

Fri 24 Jan | Hit & Run’s 7th Birthday | Antwerp Mansion
I am confused as to why this is happening in January and not October, but regardless, reaching 7 years is a massive achievement in a city like Manchester and is worthy of a party on this scale. There are still headliners to be announced, but alongside the H&R residents, Bristol grime merchant Joker is the pick for me. This is nearly sold out, so get a move on if you want to reach.

Sat 25 Jan | Hoya:Hoya | The Roadhouse
The night after taking over Room 2 of Fabric, Hoya return to The Roadhouse with a guest who was responsible for one of the most well-received electronic albums of last year. Obviously it is a secret, so I can’t say too much, but this is definitely going to be a special one, with an appearance from a true legend of UK dance music.
