With a preference for the dirty south and Bay Area strains of hip-hop, residents Joey B, DJ Croww and Big War are well versed when it comes to knowing what slaps. This one’s a highly recommended warm up for your weekend.

Fri 12 Feb | Mosca @ Soup Kitchen
Mosca takes over Soup Kitchen for the entirety of Friday night, as the Obscure crew offer him the chance to open up his extensive collection. Before aligning himself as a key player in the house and techno worlds, Mosca had a reputation as a strong selector of dancehall, Baltimore and funky… this extended set should give him the chance to touch all these areas and beyond. This’ll definitely be a party.

OB! finds a new venue in the shape of Band on the Wall, a place where the team’s unique blend of carnival sounds will feel right at home. For their inaugural event at Band, they’ve invited both Dr C – one of Manchester’s top bashment selectors – and DJ Candja – who’s made a fine reputation for himself repping the sounds of Angola in MCR. Residents Ronin and Bigfoot will be setting the vibes from early, with the mighty Faro on mic duties throughout. Very exciting times for Oh Bacchanal! ahead.
