Wed 12 Feb | Oh Bacchanal! | Tusk
This midweek jam has become a bit of a hidden gem, offering all kinds of tropical flavours on a school night. From dancehall to afrobeat, soca to hiphop, there’s more than enough to get down to and as it runs from 8-12, you can be tucked up in bed by a not-unreasonable time. Thu 13 Feb | Pharoahe Monch | Band On The Wall
Another week, another hip hop legend touches down in Manchester. This time, it’s the turn of Pharoahe Monch, whose album PTSD is due for release this April. With much more in his arsenal than just Simon Says, the politically-charged MC will be one of the most-anticipated gigs this year. In The Loop’s Agent J & A-Up are more than appropriate choices for support DJs on the night.

Fri 14 Feb | Chimpo’s Birthday Party | Underland
After a well-received run of opening parties, Manchester’s newest venue Underland hosts the birthday party of one of the city’s finest. With a special headline set from Chimpo himself, where he’ll be joined by collaborators Strategy and Trigga and Heartless Crew’s Mighty Moe, this isn’t going to be any less than very rowdy. There are more surprises in store, with some special guests still to be revealed – this could be the party to put Ancoats back on the map as a raving destination.

Sat 15 Feb | Swing Ting feat. Brackles (pictured) and HDD | Soup Kitchen
Brackles’ previous appearances at Swing Ting have been some of most well-received ever, so it was only a matter of time until we invited him back. His Rinse FM show is always a Sunday highlight and his recent collaboration with our very own Fox, Skank, has been causing all kinds of trouble nationwide. We’re also delighted to have the amazing Hipsters Don’t Dance crew up, whose legendary London parties are some of the best in the UK. On top of that, it’s only about the third time where our entire resident team, including rising star Murlo, have been around to play together. It’ll be ace.
£5 all night

Thanks to Swing Ting – street + soundsystem music, 3rd Saturday of the month at Soup Kitchen.
