Garrett Millerick | The Bread Shed | Tue 16 Oct | 7.30pm | £5/3
One of the best reviewed comics at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Millerick added ‘heartfelt’ to his already excellent comedy CV with latest show ‘Sunflower’. Always a bombastic presence and with a knack for throwing out jokes with astounding economy, Millerick is fast becoming one of the best there is on the circuit playing packed weekend clubs around the country. A chance to see him at XS on the cheap is a real boon and one you should endeavour to see.

Elis James & John Robins | The Lowry | Sun 21 Oct | 8pm | £21
Those familiar with the Radio X pairing of Elis & John and their vibetastic podcast will already be aware that they have managed to pen a book and more so that they are touring the book around with a reading, signing and, of course, vibing. Those who aren’t will have no idea what any of this means and frankly it probably won’t be for you. Sorry. The in jokes that have built up in the nearly 250 episodes of the pod have spawned this epic tome and there are still a few seats for PCDers to taste the vibe live. Or not if that meant nothing to you. Sorry again.
