Dust your bike off tomorrow for a rare opportunity to cycle the streets of Manchester without fear of being mown down. Sky Ride Manchester is an annual collaboration between British Cycling, Sky and Manchester City Council, with the 15km route this year taking in Castlefield, Deansgate, Sportcity and the National Cycling Centre – home of British Cycling. Designated roads (see map) will be closed to traffic and open to cyclists from 10am until 4pm, with stop-off points along the way for repair centres, bike cafes, BMX displays and taster sessions, ‘Granny Turismo’ and other activities.
