Taking a break from lovingly sketching out the maps of the various boroughs of Manchester, graphic designer and artist David Gee (otherwise known as Dave Draws) will be putting on a solo exhibition at Chorlton’s Electrik this March. Characters peer out of peep holes surrounded by his trademark doodles with some characters are plucked straight from Dave’s weird and wonderful imagination. The exhibition launches with a now customary knees up at the Wilbraham Road bar with a pop up shop and DJs all night long. Grab a pint and a Yadda Yadda kebab from the kitchen and enjoy the quirky abstract styles that Dave Draws. The next exhibition in Electrik’s series is Mr Scruff, who kicks off this solo show with a one-deck DJ set and launch party on Wednesday 28 March.
Exhibtion run from Thu 1 Mar – Wed 27 Mar, Electrik, 559 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester M21 0AE. 7pm, FREE, www.facebook.com
