Chilled out hip hop instrumentals icon DJ Krush is set to perform at Manchester’s Band on the Wall on the back of his 2017 record, KISEKI. His 25-year career has found fans worldwide drawn to his distinctive orchestral samples, which cradle the senses and bring to life an oeuvre of hip hop-influenced beats without the need for rap accompaniment. As a double LP release, Kiseki combines versions of tracks both with and without guest vocalists, showing how well they stand up to scrutiny and serving as a reminder of the bar he raised for hip hop production back in the 1990s along with contemporaries like DJ Shadow.
