Celebrate Manchester’s animation heritage with a colourful Cosgrove Hall exhibition at Waterside Arts Centre. Waterside Arts Centre now holds the archive of the former Chorlton cartoon studio that brought us Noddy, Count Duckula and the reboot of Postman Pat. Cosgrove Hall was a major player in UK children’s television, with Danger Mouse broadcasting on ITV for over a decade. Puppet Master is packed with original puppets, story boards and behind-the-scenes insights into the craft of animation. The exhibition is free to view and runs until 17 February 2018. This Sat you can meet some of the puppetmasters who bring these creations to life at a special conference. Get tickets here.
