Fairfield Social Club, from the team behind street food favourites GRUB, is set to re-open this Saturday, and along with boasting Manchester’s greenest beer garden, the team have a tonne of events and activities lined up to mark the much-anticipated return.

GRUB’s annual Lass Fest International Women’s Day celebrations kick things off with a special lineup. Sat 9 Mar will see two events as Girl Gang Mcr hosts its ever-popular “Speed Mate-ing” event in the afternoon before Josie Long joins Amy Gledhill, Lucy Pearman and more for an evening of stand-up comedy at A Lovely Time.

The first 100 guests to arrive Saturday lunchtime will even be treated to free currywurst fresh off the BBQ and a can of Blackjack beer to wash it down.

The following weekend, much-loved football quiz Best Team On Paper has its first outing in the new space on Thu 14 Mar. There are huge cash prizes to be won as well as special prizes from Squadra Vintage.

On Sat 16 Mar “Super Saturday” will see the final games of this year’s Six Nations shown on the big screen, offering a glimpse of what the team have in store for this summer’s Euros.

St Patrick’s Day sees another quiz in the calendar, this time celebrating the world of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia with themed cocktails and all the trivia about Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Sweet Dee and Frank you could hope for.

On Sat 23 Mar, Cultplex cinema descends under the guise of CULT MART as the team welcomes traders from far and wide to set up shop and sell their wares to pop-culture-hungry shoppers.

Sun 31 Mar sees Fairfield Social Club celebrating Trans Day of Visibility with National Transgender Charity Sparkle fundraising for the Family & Youth Zone at Sparkle Weekend 2024. In collaboration with Manchester Queer Art Market, Sparkle will be
hosting a selection of trans and gender-diverse stall holders at FSC.

Looking further ahead, April is packed with more impressive comedy names, with the likes of  Mike Rice, Nick Helm and New York-based TikTok sensation Ashley Gavin all bringing new tours to the space.

Also, on Sat 20 Apr, the venue will host a huge board game all-dayer of with Dungeons and Flagons — promising ‘a fun, inclusive day for beginners and more seasoned gamers.

Finally, on Fri 26 Apr, Manchester institution Art Battle will take over alongside an array of GRUB’s favourite street food traders.
