First look: General Store to open new grocery, coffee shop & bar hybrid at Deansgate Square

Deansgate Square has announced that Store Retail Group will be its first commercial partner with Deansgate General Store due to bring the finest, most critically acclaimed retail experience into this new city centre community.

Deansgate Square General Store will focus on the best aspects of Store Retail Group’s other sites in Ancoats, Stretford and Sale, combining them to form a more innovative space for the public. Having already gathered a large and loyal fan base in other city-centre neighbourhoods, this approach hopes to prove favourable for a new community, with Deansgate Square General Store supplying artisan coffees to takeaway, a new fresh flower concept, household essentials and much more.

Designed by local studio, YOUTH, the interior will focus on General Store’s innovative attitude to retail, with Deansgate’s location being designed to unite communities, cultures and creativity by providing a grocery store, coffee shop and bar hybrid.
