Christmas pop-up bar: Miracle on Edge Street from Pen & Pencil team
From the people behind the Northern Quarter’s Pen & Pencil, comes a two week Christmas pop-up bar, set to knock your festive socks off. Joyously named Miracle on Edge Street, it will take up residency opposite Common on – well – Edge Street where MadLab is, next to Terrace bar. Expect disco, Christmas hits, kitsch and sparkle, plus specially created themed drinks.

This Saturday: Burmese pop up menu at Beermoth
For one lunch and dinner only, a Burmese pop up is taking over the kitchens of Café Beermoth, just next to the Post Office off Market Street. Details of the menu are under wraps at the moment, but there will be a range of salads, noodle soups, meat and veggie dishes, with vegan options as well.

Beer-matched supper club at Cheadle Hulme’s Fountain Road Bakery
A collaboration between Fountain Road Bakery and The Pursuit of Hoppiness, the evening will be set in the Cheadle Hulme-based bakery. The food menu begins with veggie or pork spring rolls with chicken satay, moving onto a Thai chicken or pumpkin curry with Asian slaw and rice, finishing with a chocolate truffle torte with stem ginger ice cream. Alongside the three courses, guests will sample six matched beers from local breweries, which will also be available to buy on the night.

Grub Food Fair at Alphabet Brewing Company ft. Yakumama & Nicely Kitchen
This week’s GRUB welcomes some hearty street food purveyors.
