There’s plenty to keep you entertained in Manchester over the coming months including an incoming Veggie Pret, a New York inspired bar Manhatta, South Indian ‘wild meat’ cookery classes at The Creameries, the Three Wine Men wine festival and a new bar called Flight Club – with added darts. The next few weeks also see the opening of Mana in Ancoats (click here for more) while Simon Shaw’s new Portuguese place, Canto (click here for more) opened last week. The Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2018 also gets underway this week (read more here), which includes their award-winning Gin Festival at Upper Campfield Market Hall this weekend (book tickets here).

Book tickets: Three Wine Men come to Manchester Central
Returning for another year, the wine trio made up of TV stars Oz Clarke, Tim Atkin, and Olly Smith, are in Manchester to get you stocked up on your Christmas tipples. With a chance to try all the types of wine you can think of as well as meeting the three men themselves, they aim to find you your favourite new wine. You can start by taking a small questionnaire that will guide producers when recommending wines, or you can just head straight in if you know what you want. All wine is available to buy at the show and there are plenty of show special offers going around. Be quick though, many sessions are already sold out.

Cookery class: South Indian techniques from Chaat Cart at The Creameries
Having opened up just a few months ago, The Creameries has made a place for itself in Chorlton’s dining, and it’s hoping to help you bring a bit of their quality back to your home. With The Creameries very own Mary Ellen McTague and Chaat Cart’s Aarti Ormsby, the South Indian Cookery Class will be drawing on both of the chef’s experience of cooking with wild meat to provide classes on dishes you may not normally find in a restaurant. This is sure to a hit in Chorlton so book early to guarantee a place.

New bar: Manhatta on Deansgate
There’s a new bar coming to Deansgate and it very much aims for the glitzy reputation of bars down that end of town. Manhatta may be missing an ‘n’ but it may not surprise you to know that it’s a bar inspired by New York’s glitzy centre. You can win tickets to their launch party on Friday 5 October via Twitter.

New bar…. with added darts: Flight Club

in time for Christmas parties, Flight Club, the darts bar that started in London will be opening in Manchester at the end of October. Landing at the top of King Street, the bar will be aiming to make darts a more popular pastime outside of the pubs it’s normally found in, and will bring a more game and tech based side to the arrows.
