Electrik’s new Yadda Yadda menu, packed with gourmet kebabs, comes with a sharp design aesthetic – and this month, the artist behind the concept launches a solo exhibition in the Chorlton bar. Bradford illustrator Adam Menzies’s colourful artworks explore surrealism and subversive humour. His playful repeating patterns include flowers, food, football hooligans and Smurf crime scenes. As well as having one of the most intriguing menus in the suburbs, Electrik is sister bar to Volta and Refuge, run by DJs and restaurateurs, Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford. Which means that no exhibition would be complete without a no-holds-barred launch night. Head down from 7pm on Thursday 23 November to get a first look at the new exhibition, with music from a specially selected rosta of guest DJs.
