A mobile launderette will breathe new life into your favourite Hermès silk scarves in October – and it won’t cost you a penny. The Hermèsmatic is a silk-safe bright orange dying machine that has travelled the world to arrive in the UK for the first time. From October 5th for one week, bring your scarf to the former Hermès designer shop on King Street, Manchester and pick your eye-popping colour: denim blue, fuchsia pink or bright red. Your tired old Hermès scarf will then be dipped, dried and delivered for collection, fully transformed with a new vintage look, at the new Hermès boutique at Selfridges, Exchange Square. The service is completely free. Look out too for silk styling workshops, with fashion experts ready show you the most fetching ways to sport a Hermès scarf.
Thu 5 – Thu 12 Oct, Hermèsmatic, 31 King Street, Manchester, M2 6AA, opening times tbc, FREE
