Club night Popular has made a name for itself over the past few years, trading in pure, unadulterated cheese and promising a shame-free celebration of all things chart-topping. This month they start a monthly early-evening residency at Fairfield Social Club as part of the GRUB food fair. Every first Friday of the month you’ll be able to swing by, get loaded up on the finest street food Manchester has to offer, and then dance off all those excess calories to a playlist that covers everything from Prince to Paramore.

Styrofoam Block Printing at Dulcimer
Also on Saturday afternoon, the Dulcimer pub in Chorlton is hosting a free block printing workshop, run by arts seller CH+. Some materials are provided, but you’re also encouraged to bring your own foam and cardboard offcuts to help create print blocks. These are regular events and are pay-what-you-feel, so you’re naturally encouraged to give generously to help keep them running.
