As the embers die around the burnt effigies of Catholic revolutionaries, we turn our minds to the rest of November, a sombre month – constantly presided over by the glitzy spectre of Christmas. Imagine Rusholme at Luther King House
This is the closing event of the Rusholme Festival of Ideas – a workshop that to discuss an explore the future work of Creative Rusholme, a network of local artistic and cultural voices. An excellent place to meet the creatives forging South Manchester’s cultural future.

Manchester Fiction Showcase at Central Library ft Emma Jane Unsworth (pictured)
Art rock goliaths Everything Everything are curating Chaos to Order a week-long programme of free events covering the full spectrum of artistic media. One of the most interesting events in this programme is this fiction showcase, an evening of talks from Manchester’s premier new writing talent. Discussing their creative process will be Emma Jane Unsworth, Kerry Wilkinson, Chris Killen and Zoe Lambert – a varied bill covering everything from novelists to screenwriters. Team Building – Exhibition at Islington Mill
Curated by Chorlton-based print house Yuck, this collaborative exhibiton at the Mill touches on the theme of corporate bonding activities. German art collective Palefroi will be spending one week with local artists DR.ME, Steve Hockett and John Powell-Jones to create a series of prints for the the Mill’s exhibition space. The exhibition runs well into November, but it celebrates its opening this Thursday. Read our full preview.
