A group of local artists are undertaking an innovative artistic experiment at Islington Mill in Salford. ‘Team Building’ plays with the idea of workplace bonding activities, and involves six different artists spending one week trying to produce artworks together. The resulting prints will be displayed at the Mill’s exhibition space from next Friday. The artists taking part are:- Palefroi (Damien Tran and Marion Jdanoff) produce stark geometric pictures with looser, free flowing elements. Ryan Doyle and Mark Edwards of DR.ME are a design duo known for works in a range of different media. Steve Hockett utilises both analogue and digital techniques for works that are both meaningful and playful. John Powell-Jones’ work draws on everything from ancient mythology to popular culture. The exhibition is curated by Yuck Print House, a gallery based in Chorlton.
