DR.ME at HOME
We previously covered creative studio DR.ME’s epic 365 Days of Collage project at Islington Mill, which involved the pair creating a new collage every day for a year. That wrapped up back in June, but now they’re back to present the cream of the crop at HOME. This best of show contains originals and blown-up reproductions as well as some new pieces created specially for this exhibition.

Death Spa at Hold Fast
The Scalarama film festival runs this month and whilst most showings will set you back at least a fiver, this culty little number being screened at shown at Hold Fast for absolutely no monies. Set in a haunted gym – a spirit stalks the treadmills, resulting a series of brutal killings. It’s a guilty pleasure for fans of watching beautiful people get horribly murdered.
Tue 22 Sep, Hold Fast, 50 Newton St, M1 2EA, 8pm, www.scalarama-2015.screeningfilm.com

Upcycled Furniture Auction at Ziferblat (pictured)
Ziferblat is Edge Street’s trendy pay-for-your-time-not-for-your-coffee coffee shop, but it also contains a number of interesting event spaces. For this event, they’ve opened up their studio space for this auction in aid of homeless charity Barnabus. Local artists and craftsmen are coming together to showcase their restored and upcycled furniture created under the charity’s ReNu project, which aims to provide life and trade skills to the homeless. If you’re going to purchase an item, obviously it’s going to set you back and if you want to stick around after, Ziferblat’s policy requires you to pay for your time. It’s all for charity though, come on.
