Manchester’s “best middle sized club” has unveiled an Autumn/Winter season of events.

Gorilla will host parties between now and the New Year featuring the likes of Goldie – who steps up as part of the 25th birthday celebration for his influential drum & bass label Metalheadz on 27 September – plus disco don Late Night Tuff Guy and vanguards of dub Iration Steppas.

The new season promises a carefully curated mix of local talent plus international names, with nights focusing on house, bass, techno, disco, drum & bass and everything in between. Other highlights from the upcoming season include Redlight, hosted by the Ministry of Sound (18 October), “I Love Acid” with DMX Krew, Luke Vibert, Posthuman and Ceephax Acid Crew (12 October) and Detroit techno great Robert Hood, who assumes his Floorplan alias for a night of unadulterated Motor City quality (25 October).

Not to mention there is the return of hip hop party Applebum, a fundraiser with Marshall Jefferson and Sleezy D in November, plus 1Xtra presents Levels on 19 October. And if you’ve still got the energy at the end of the year, Crazy P is doing a Christmas takeover on 20 December. There’ something for everyone in this big room with a very intimate feel.

Gorilla, a long-time firm favourite in the Mancunion clubbing scene,  has also upped the ante with d&b audiotechnik sound system and other sleek production innovations that will “sink you deep into another dimension each and every weekend.”
