The Great Northern Warehouse has revealed details of their next Community Kitchen on the Square takeover, with street food experts South Manny Flavas joining forces with popular gin bar Impossible for a weekend of indulgence. From Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August, from noon to 9pm each day, hungry visitors will be able to enjoy burgers, fries and an array of punchy summer cocktails in this brand new outdoor dining experience, created in partnership with Estrella Damm and United We Stream. With no booking necessary, this new pop-up is designed to help hospitality venues ease out of lockdown whilst allowing customers to walk-up and experience some carefully curated dishes and summertime drinks.

Spanish tapas chain Evuna kicked things off earlier this month – and now, it’s South Manny Flavas’ turn to fill bellies with their array of burgers, fries and sides.  The aptly named Great Northern burger (£10) extravagantly boasts a 6oz beef patty, drenched in Monterey jack cheese and garlic aioli, and topped with two slices of rump steak. Meanwhile, the Bangkok Badboy burger (£7) has vegetarians covered with its black onion and sesame breaded mixed vegetables and chilli jam. Fried chicken selects (£6) and vegan halloumi fries (£6.50) are also available, while Peter Street venue Impossible serving up an array of cocktails, wines and spirits. There’s lots on offer – but if ask us, their Frozen Pina Colada with coconut rum (£9) or sweet and sour Vimto Bramble (£9) are the perfect way to get the weekend started.
