Featuring an unmissable slate of free weekly events, classes, creative workshops and priceless life admin help, Great Northern’s Summer Sundays programme rounds off the July schedule with a walk-in Repairs Café, a charity jumble sale and the latest free amphitheatre yoga sessions.

Running from 12pm-2pm on Sun 23 and Sun 30 Jul, Manchester’s DIY masters join forces and take over The Village Hall to host the Repairs Café, a free walk-in service which offers to mend your household goods and breathe new life into rickety furniture. From blenders, hedge trimmers and small appliances (excluding mobile phones) to clothes, fabrics and broken chair legs, the team comprising fixers from Levenshulme Repair Café, Boothstown Repair Café, Moss Side Repair Café (or Boiler House Moss Side) and Stretford Repair Café devote their expertise to the worn-and-torn at no charge, while offering a range of life hacks and restoration tips while you wait.

Beginning at 11am on both Sundays, Life Centre North’s free amphitheatre yoga programme introduces participants of any ability to the basics of yoga, movement and breathwork with various pranayama, wim hof and connected conscious styles, all while basking – or sheltering – beneath the Manchester summer sky in the iconic Great Northern Amphitheatre.

From 12 noon on Sun 30 Jul, the Manchester One Media unit on Deansgate Mews hosts a treasure-filled jumble sale, raising money for the Forever Manchester charity.
