Manchester street food champions, Grub, have started the New Year on a high, with the roaring success of their winter beer fest and a stellar line up for their vegan special, the ExtraVEGANza. Now, with the year in full swing, they have released the list of traders for the return of their regular street food fair held at the Fairfield Social Club just minutes from Piccadilly station. In the first of their weekly shindigs for February, Perissia will be dishing out healthy Persian cuisine, whilst beardy Leeds based vendors Smak! serve up the very best Polish pierogi. Sundays are plant powered – nothing meat or dairy here – and Lekker Bakery (tarts, pictured) and Wanderer Junk Food will be showing the masses that vegan definitely doesn’t mean dull with sell-out bakes and ‘dirty’ food for clean eaters (deep fried vegan mac n’ cheese, anyone?). The venue may be on temperance street, but Grub’s events certainly aren’t with a fully stocked bar and some great local brews on tap. For more food and drink news, click here.
