Just because we’re stuck indoors doesn’t mean we can’t be social. Many innovative local creatives have taken to live-streaming their events and gigs in order to provide a communal feel during this period of enforced downtime. Here’s a selection of the best events worth keeping an eye out for…

BC Camplight Live Show | Fri 20 Mar | 6pm | Free

Kick start your Friday night with BC Camplight AKA American singer-songwriter Brian Christinzio. Together with members of his backing band, he’ll be hosting a live-set direct from Manchester that promises music, good feelings and plenty of hang-out vibes – despite our disparate locations. Grab a drink, tune in and chill out.

Werkha X Contours | Fri 20 Mar | 7pm

Manchester favourites Werkha and Contours aren’t going to let a little quarantine stop them from celebrating the release of their new EPs The Rigour and Forward Motion (respectively). Tune into Facebook from 7pm on Friday 20 March to hear these exciting new acts perform a selection of new tracks live before your very eyes. Want to show your support? Donations are very much welcome via the Band on the Wall website.

The Quarantine Show | Fri 20 Mar | 7.30pm | Free

Co-host of The Manchester Wire Podcast and regular Deaf Institute quiz maestro Daniel Savage has taken his monthly Quiz That Came From Space and transported it into a live edition that’ll take place on Facebook every Tuesday evening for the forseeable, featuring interactive elements, competitions and plenty of fun. Can’t wait that long? You’ll find Sav live on Facebook at 7.30pm each Friday for The Quarantine Show, where he’ll provide all the buzz of a Friday night at the pub, direct from your laptop.
