Check out our top picks of the best club nights this summer.
If there was ever a lineup to kick off summer, this must be it. We could list all the names playing, each as big as the last, but we’d run out of space. Let’s just say the who’s who of deep house, techno and waft are all making an appearance, including a special guest TBA who must be special given the company. Afters at the Loft sees Mella Dee and DJ Senc join the fray.
Legendary selector and Do!! You!!! Radio mainstay Charlie Bones is heading north for a special all-day session at the newly reopened Red Bull pub in Stockport. Kicking off at 2pm and running until midnight, Charlie will be joined by Dave Holloway (Do!!You!!! Resident) Adam Aitch and Living Room Dance Club. What’s more, it won’t cost you a penny.
Berlin promoters and DJs Garage Girls continue their third birthday tour with a Manchester debut, inviting the city’s much-in-demand selector Shadev as well as garage legend, Big Ang. After a recent Boiler Room in her native Sheffield, Ang’s status as the queen of Bassline is more cemented than ever. Ang was a big part of legendary club, Niche, which started it all over 20 years ago.
After three years of roadblock parties in Withington’s XLR, Warped are calling the curtain on their weekly Wednesday residency, which has seen almost every UKG headliner step up. This is the last of six farewell shubs, which opened with none other than 140 legend, Plastician. We expect the finale’s secret guest to be very, very special.
The DBA has quickly become much more than just a pub/venue in recent years – the words centre of the grassroots scene are a lot more fitting. They’ve rigged up their car park for a day festival this May, inviting techno and 160 producer I. Jordan alongside a host of Manchester’s finest DJs, including Zuri, and the Rojak + Climaxxx residents. What’s more, there’s live music from global underground singer and longtime Maurice Fulton collaborator, Mim Suleiman, and producer Shanika Sunrise.
