Promising ‘a safe and low-bang firework display’ across three days, Oldham’s favourite family-friendly farm hosts a welcoming Guy Fawkes weekender with food trucks, mini discos and a relaxed, musical pyrotechnics display each evening. The Farm Buildings will also be open, with animal feeding opportunities available throughout the schedule.
Beginning with a quieter but no less magical Little Sparks display at 5pm before a 6pm firecracker show and the main event at 7.30, Buile Hill Park’s annual fireworks show returns for an evening of eclectic live music performances, festive snacks, fun fair stalls, glowing sculptures and even a ‘fire walk’.
Running from 5-10pm, Prestwich Golf Club’s Bonfire Night extravaganza features two ten-minute firework displays showcasing the latest pyrotechnic wonders, an array of hot food options, a tombola and a roaring bonfire illuminating the grounds from open to close.
Featuring amusement rides, barbecue burgers, toffee apples and even a lower-volume family-friendly fireworks display before the breathtaking grand finale, Bowdon’s 55th Annual Bonfire is set to be one of Cheshire’s most elaborate seasonal celebrations.
Family tickets (2 adults, 2 children aged 3-13) are available for £40.
For families looking for an earlier evening schedule, Shaw Cricket Club light their spectacular bonfire at 6pm sharp, with fireworks to follow at 7.15pm and fairground rides running throughout the evening.
Taking place at Woodbank Cricket Club from 6pm on Sat 4 Nov, Bury’s biggest fireworks event also features food, hot and cold drinks and a variety of funfair attractions, with tickets priced at £5 per adult and just £3 per under-16.
Free to attend with food, drink and fun fair stalls spread across Cronkeyshaw Common, the official Rochdale Bonfire invites families to an early Guy Fawkes Night celebration on Thu 3 Nov. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with a spectacular fireworks show to follow at 7.30.
Promising their ‘biggest event yet’ with food, drinks and upgraded pyro across two incredible displays, Stretford Cricket Club hosts an unforgettable bonfire night in partnership with Chorlton Fireworks. Returning to Stockport Rugby Club for a seventh year, the Bramhall Firework & Music Festival foregoes the traditional bonfire for an all-out party featuring a huge live music line-up, fun fair attractions, fire dancers and a breathtaking fireworks show set to a ‘Best of British’ soundtrack.
Just over nine miles south of the city, the 1st Handforth Scouts stages their annual fundraising bonfire complete with hot and cold food, a well-stocked bar, music, games, tombola and an impressive fireworks display which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Taking place from 5.30pm, the beloved grassroots South Manchester football club’s traditional bonfire and fireworks display features a packed schedule of family-friendly entertainment including dancers, face-painting and even children’s zumba, with family tickets (4) available for just £20 while under-3s get in free.
