There’s no activity more fun and festive than taking a trip to the ice rink over the winter season, and here in Manchester, we’re lucky to have loads of amazing rinks to choose from. We’ve rounded up the best ice rinks in Manchester this winter, so make sure to check them out while they’re here!
This new rink in Salford opens on Fri 15 Nov and sounds like it’ll be one of the coolest hang out spots this winter. It will be surrounded by up to 50 market stalls selling food and drinks and even have a seated weather-proof area where you can recover from skating. There’s also an outdoor bar, The Lodge – what better way to spend an evening than to hit the rink before grabbing a drink and soaking up the festive atmosphere? Tickets are available from £9 for pre-launch skate sessions, with adult passes costing £13 and child tickets £11.
Winter Funland returns to Manchester this Christmas and for the first time this year there’s a real ice skating rink. Winter Funland takes place completely indoors, so you don’t need to worry about freezing on or off the rink, and there’s loads of other stuff going on, including a funfair, a circus, and live reindeers. The venue opens on Fri 6 Dec and runs until Sun 5 Jan. When it comes to ice rinks in Manchester, this place has the lot – with everything at the Winter Funland, including ice skating tickets, covered in the ticket price of £23.50 plus booking fee.
