Heart & Parcel, the social enterprise which uses the power of cooking to help migrant women learn English and forge connections, has announced plans for a second cookbook.

Founded in Manchester back in 2015 by two friends united by their love of food and the relationships it helped build, the organisation released its first, wildly popular book in 2019.

Sales from the original book meant Heart & Parcel could continue offering its vital services, and allowed for two significant six-week projects across Salford and Longsight to be delivered to 54 people wanting to learn English and share their own recipes with others.

‘COOK EAT WRITE SHARE’ contained an eclectic, globe-spanning mix of recipes and of the 1,000 copies printed, almost all have now sold out.

The second instalment, ‘From Home to Home’, promises more of those same delicious recipes and incredible stories—and will no doubt be a welcome addition to any Mancunian foodies’ kitchen.

The folks at Heart & Parcel have just launched a fundraising campaign to bring it all together, which you can now make a donation to.
