A lot of people associate Tequila with regret – the cheap, un-cheerful kind you are force-fed at birthday parties over the course of your life invariably end in a terrible taste in the mouth and an even worse hangover the morning after. However, Tequila isn’t just something sour to be winced at with salt and a lemon – it’s a spirit to be mulled over and cherish, a spirit of honour. Excellia host this evening as a a masterclass, teaching attendees of the three ages of tequila (here’s a quick 101 on the three main types: Blanco – youngest, Anejo – aged, Reposado – rested). There will be a tequila & fresh pressed apple upon arrival, as well as canapés to compliment the flavour of the spirit, finished off with a Paloma cocktail (lime, sugar, fresh grapefruit, Ting and… well, you can guess the spirit).
